WhatsApp works to develop a number of useful features for Android and iOS users.
Here are some of the latest updates that have been rolled out over the course of this week WhatsApp continues to upgrade its apps to include a multitude of features to provide seamless messaging and call experience to its users. Some of the apps are still under development, while some have been rolled out for both Android and iOS devices as regular updates.

Function of the missing messages: While first spotted by WABetaInfo, a blog that monitors WhatsApp innovations, the blog recently reported the ' Delete Messages ' feature has also arrived in the beta version of iOS 2.20.10.23 and 24 earlier this month.
The blog reported that this functionality will be only for group chats and will only be open to administrators. After a specific time period set by the user, the app, if available, will automatically delete messages and make it look like the message never existed.
In addition, the blog posted in its publication that WhatsApp brings this functionality as a kind of community "cleaning tool."
"Groups usually have a lot of messages and this function can help save your phone storage, automatically remove old messages (only admins can enable / disable them)," the blog said.
Once available, a toggle on / off button will be added to the' Delete Message ' feature and users can select a specific time interval to automatically disappear the messages. There are five options to choose between time intervals–one hour, one day, one week, one month, and one year. The messages sent to this chat will therefore disappear.
For example, if the user opts for a time interval of 1 hour, after an hour, the messages sent after the selection will be removed.

Nonetheless, it's important to know that when this feature will roll out there is no official announcement. Similarly, there is also no news on the release date of Dark Mode, and this feature has been under development for a long time now.
How the low data mode on WhatsApp will work:
WhatsApp will automatically stop downloading media from the cellular once you enable the feature, according to the blog post, even if you have configured specific auto download settings. Low Data Mode also prevents uploading voice messages automatically. This is a brand new feature that will help users even in poor internet areas to access the app for messaging purposes.
Call waiting:
WhatsApp introduced a major and valuable call waiting service for both its apps earlier this month.
The new feature includes the option where users can now receive another call from WhatsApp while they're already on one call. Through upgrading the App Store for iPhone users and Google Play Store for Android customers, the app can be downloaded.
Previously, if they were already on another call, the receivers did not receive a call waiting message and instead would inform the recipient of a' Missed call' once the current call was disconnected. On the other side, when the caller attempted to call, the caller had to know that the receiver was busy as the app blinked the message' on another line.'
