Any EPFO office in India may process a withdrawal or transfer claim regardless of its geographical jurisdiction.

EPF withdrawal claims are now being processed more quickly than before, as the Employees ' Provident Fund Organization (EPFO) has not only launched a new artificial intelligence ( AI) tool for the automatic processing of claims, but also delinked accounts from regional offices.
To date, your provider's account has been linked to the nearest local or regional office and all claims have been processed only through that specific office which is under its geographical jurisdiction. Thus, if one regional office were overburdened with work, the claims of EPF subscribers to that office would be delayed.
However, EPFO has now launched a multi-location claims settlement facility under which any regional office across India can settle all types of online claims relating to the provider fund, the pension, the partial withdrawal and the transfer.

EPFO said that the new initiative is a step towards the broader objective of introducing a faceless processing of claims that will increase transparency , efficiency, reduce grievances and expeditious resolution of online claims in line with Digital India.
This is the second step taken by the pension fund body to increase the pace of claims processing. EPFO has recently started using a new AI tool, which will automatically process all related Covid claims within just 3 days if the EPF account is fully KYC compliant.
At the time of the lockdown, EPFO claimed that it had settled more than 80,000 claims with an average daily payout of 270 crore. EPFO recently launched a new Covid Pandemic Retreat Facility, which allows subscribers to withdraw up to three months of basic salaries and DA (dearness allowance) or up to 75% of the member's credit in the EPF account, whichever is less.
