The latest tourist visa is valid for 5 years and is available to all nationalities and can be used for multiple entries. Travelers from Africa, some countries in South America, Arab states outside the Gulf, and European countries outside the European Union and the former Soviet Union previously required visas.

On Monday, the United Arab Emirates launched a multi-entry visa system that is available for all nationalities for five years, in order to turn the Gulf State into a tourist center.
"# UAE Cabinet chaired by @HHShkMohd, approves new amendment on tourist visas in # UAE," the Dubai Media Office government tweeted, referring to Sheik Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE prime minister and Dubai ruler.
"The new tourist visa will be valid for 5 years and is open to all nationalities and can be used for multiple entries," the Dubai Media Office wrote.

On Twitter, Sheik Maktoum said the UAE currently attracts 21 million tourists per year.
Travelers from Africa, some countries in South America, Arab states outside the Gulf, and European states from outside the European Union and the former Soviet Union needed visas beforehand.
